Richard Codd heads up our fire safety training department. With over 30 years’ experience as a firefighter and health and safety instructor, Richard will keep you up-to-date with changes of legislation and training, extinguishing your daily workplace fire risks.
Alan is a vibrant and energetic trainer with a strong background in the chemical process environment.
Having served his 4 year apprenticeship at Hydro Agriculture as a Chemical Process Technician he soon took up the role of senior and analytical technician integrating into key process operations
Moving to Millennium Inorganic Chemicals in 1998 expanding his knowledge within process operations becoming Training Manager covering the wide spectrum of operations.
2004 saw a move to the energy sector where his role as Technical Training Manager saw wider development within the process, operational and health and safety courses as well as competency development leading a team of over 100 assessors and trainers.
Since 2011 Alan has worked as an independent training consultant developing competence programmes for a range of clients including BP and OPA, and working closely with Reynolds Training Services in the development and delivery of Process Safety Management programmes.
Gavin brings a wealth of experience to the Reynolds Training Services team of instructors, completing a range of roles both onshore and offshore within the major hazards industries, including Asset Protection Officer at Novartis, Shift Fire and Safety Officer at Total LOR Refinery, Fire Fighter at Humberside Fire & Rescue Service and Offshore Safety, Health and Environment Advisor on the Total Elgin Platform.
As a consultant trainer Gavin brings his extensive knowledge and skills to assist in the development and delivery of a range of training courses at RTS, including NEBOSH International Technical Certificate in Oil and Gas Operation Safety, and is able to give a unique insight into the oil and gas industry, both upstream and downstream.
Stuart has 16 years’ experience working in high hazard industries, primarily within the in bulk liquid sector.
He has honed a range of skills in operations, safety and training across import, export and storage operations through rail, road, pipe and ship at terminals within the UK and Ireland.
Building on his considerable knowledge Stuart ventured to Malaysia as HSE Advisor, Trainer and Offshore Major Emergency Management Instructor currently delivering training to around 475 students per semester.
Stuart brings his skills to the assessment and training team, delivering a range of qualifications and courses.
Jo has 25 years’ experience in the public and private sector doing training design and delivery, training & competency management, assessment and providing internal quality assurance.
For the 8 years, Jo managed training and competency for a major oil company, which included teams in the UK, the Netherlands, Turkey and France.
She is also a qualified personal performance and life coach, bringing a wider perspective to the portfolio of knowledge and experience to RTS.
Jo works with Reynolds Training Services as an Assessor, Internal Quality Assurer and Trainer delivering a range of qualifications including Learning and Development, Assessor and Internal Quality Assurance.
Stuart is a multi-experienced safety and environment specialist with experience of delivering consultancy and training to a wide range of industry sectors both in the UK and middle east.
His passion and enthusiasm for the industry is unrivalled and his pragmatic approach to training and consultancy ensures success for all

I am also a Trainer, Assessor and Course Developer. Subjects Taught:I deliver a range of NEBOSH and IOSH Qualifications, but tend to specialise in Oil and Gas and Process Safety. I’m a fully-qualified assessor and IQA, deploying these skills across a range of core Bulk Liquid Operation and Process Safety courses.
