The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Annual Refresher) qualification is designed to help learners to maintain skills and keep up to date with any changes to work-based First Aid procedures.

The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Annual Refresher) (RQF), from Reynolds Training, is specifically designed to afford qualified First Aiders the chance to update their skills yearly, until requalification training is required.
Learners will leave with a renewed confidence having had the opportunity to refamiliarise themselves with essential First Aid procedures, including:
❖ Managing an unresponsive casualty
❖ Recovery position
❖ CPR
❖ Choking
Who is this course for?
Any employee from any level who wants a refresher for their First Aid qualifiaction, so they can continue to support to their colleagues at work.
Duration:
Half a day
Prerequisites:
None
Practical assessments – observed by the Trainer throughout the course, with the results of each learning outcome recorded on the practical assessment paperwork.
There are 3 mandatory and 1 optional practical assessment for this qualification:
❖ CPR and safe use of an AED
❖ Unconscious casualty
❖ Choking casualty
❖ Catastrophic bleeding (optional)
Be able to assess an incident and:
❖ 1.1 Conduct a scene survey
❖ 1.2 Conduct a primary survey of a casualty
❖ 1.3 Summon appropriate assistance when necessary
Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty and:
❖ 2.1 Identify when to administer Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
❖ 2.2 Demonstrate CPR using a manikin
❖ 2.3 Justify when to place a casualty into the recovery position
❖ 2.4 Demonstrate how to place a casualty into the recovery position
❖ 2.5 Identify how to administer first aid to a casualty who is experiencing a seizure
Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking and:
❖ 3.1 Identify when choking is both mild and severe
❖ 3.2 Demonstrate how to administer First Aid to a casualty who is choking
