Salary: £33,000 – £35,000 – Commensurate on experience

Contract: Full time, permanent

Reynolds Training Services are the UK’s leading technical training providers in the high hazard and bulk liquid and gas storage sector. We deliver a range of courses and qualifications including IOSH, NEBOSH and Qualsafe, apprenticeships and our own industry-recognised courses.

You will be based at our state-of-the-art National Centre for Process and Manufacturing (NCPM), in North Lincolnshire, delivering to apprentices and adult learners in a ‘real word’ fully emulated Process Operations Environment.

With ambitious growth plans, we are recruiting for additional Technical Trainers/Assessors to join our delivery team.

Job Purpose and Scope

Working as part of the delivery team, you will be responsible for various aspects of professional learning and development including;

  • Training and assessment, incorporating our apprenticeship programme
  • Session planning and learning management
  • Development and maintenance of course materials
  • Verification and invigilation

You will be delivering training and assessment in line with the regulatory and awarding body requirements and codes of practices.

As part of the role as an industrial vocational assessor you will be responsible for;

  • Completion and submission of all required documentation
  • Attendance of assessor standardisation meetings
  • Maintenance of your annual record of CPD including occupational competence, sector knowledge and assessment practice

You may also be asked to represent Reynolds Training Services at relevant industry events nationally.

Education

In addition to a good standard of education (numeracy and literacy) you will also have;

  • Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence or equivalent
  • Level 2 or 3 Process Operations qualification or equivalent

Required Experience

  • Demonstrate competence in high hazard industrial process operations
  • Experience of assessment practice
  • Experience managing and co-ordinating relevant Quality Assurance practices and systems
  • Knowledge of Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) processes

Preferred Skills

You should have experience providing support and coaching in a tailored manner to ensure learner accreditation and success. We are looking for individuals with the ability to be motivational, engaging and provide a first-class experience to our learners and clients.

Personal Qualities

Our Trainers/Assessors must be self-motivated and be able to work independently to achieve defined outcomes. We need good communicators who have the ability to build rapport with learners of all levels.

It is a given that you will be professional in appearance and conduct at all times when representing Reynolds Training.

Other Things You Need to Know

Although mostly based at our Stallingborough training facility in North Lincolnshire, you may be required to travel to other UK locations to deliver courses where overnight stays may be required.
