IOSH approved written assessment on completion of one-day course – Pass Mark: 70% (21/30)

On completion of the course, learners should be able to:

❖ Define process safety and understand how to contribute towards it
❖ Learn the regulatory model, hazard / risk evaluation tools and process safety management frameworks for high hazard environments
❖ Identify process safety controls, human factors and the importance of adhering to ‘safety critical’ operations – specifically focussing on prevention, control and mitigation
❖ Demonstrate awareness of process safety and how contributing to this impacts safe site operations
❖ Develop a ‘bow tie’ diagram for a localised site Major Accident Hazard scenario
❖ Understand COMAH and how the regulations apply to site operations
❖ Value the need for continued effectiveness of all process safety barriers / controls
