Acquire straightforward, practical safety risk management skills to go beyond risk assessment, to effectively control the risks caused by hazards in the workplace.

Unit RAW1: Managing risks in the workplace
A practical assessment is completed at the end of the course. Learners will be asked to watch a video of a real workplace and complete a risk assessment, identifying how to manage and prioritise the risks present.
- Recognise potential hazards and get familiar with available resources that can provide assistance and support.
- Assess risks in premises with low to medium risk levels, using simple tools HSE tool.
- Evaluate risks in a proportionate and sensible manner.
- Identify suitable control measures.
- Create a safe and healthy work environment.
- Ensure organisations have valuable in-house risk management expertise.
- Equip teams with the skills required to carry out risk assessments.
