Toolbox Talk about ISGOTT v6
John Reynolds, the founder and MD of Reynolds Training was delighted to include the Smartflow ISGOTT solution in his latest Toolbox Talk video. This is just one of a series of videos that will be released as part of the strategic partnership through Virtual Reynolds, the new 3D VR learning platform.
Firstly, John introduces us to the Ship Shore Safety Checklist (aka SSSCL), the document which both the responsible officers on the tanker and in the terminal have to complete when an oil tanker is docking at a terminal.
John then takes us through the various sections of the SSSCL, commencing before the vessel arrives at the berth, continuing through mooring and preparation for discharge or loading operations, right through to regular monitoring throughout.
John explains the importance of completing the SSSCL and discusses how Smartflow’s digital solution helps personnel on the tanker and in the terminal understand their individual roles, conform to the required standards, communicate clearly with each other and, therefore, perform their duties in the safest and most efficient way possible.
