The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (Annual Refresher) qualification is designed to help learners to maintain skills and keep up to date with any changes to paediatric First Aid procedures.

This Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (Annual Refresher) (RQF) qualification forms part of the suite of Qualsafe First Aid qualifications offered by Reynolds Training. The qualification and learning outcomes are based on the recommendations of:
❖ Resuscitation Council (UK)
❖ Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
❖ A distinguished panel of experts in emergency medical care
The qualification is designed to help learners to maintain skills and keep up to date with any changes to paediatric First Aid procedures.
This qualification is valid for 1 year. The Learner should retake their primary paediatric First Aid qualification before the 3-year expiry date.

Any employee from any level who wants a refresher for their Paediatric First Aid qualifiaction.

Prerequisites:
There are no formal entry requirements but a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy will be helpful.
For this qualification, there are practical assessments – observed by the trainer throughout the course. There are 4 mandatory and 1 optional practical assessment for this qualification:
❖ Child CPR and safe use of an AED
❖ Infant CPR and safe use of an AED
❖ Unconscious casualty
❖ Choking casualty (paediatric)
❖ Catastrophic bleeding (optional)
Develop the skills and knowledge required to deal with various First Aid scenarios, including:
❖ Be able to assess an emergency situation safely
❖ Be able to provide First Aid for an infant and a child who is unresponsive and not breathing normally
❖ Be able to provide First Aid for an infant and a child who is unresponsive and breathing normally
❖ Be able to provide First Aid for an infant and a child who is choking
A SUITE OF FIRST AID COURSES
Learners may progress to other qualifications at
the same and higher level, such as Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid, both of which are avialable from Reynolds Training.
