Q) Petroleum Training Courses FAQ#5: What is Hazop?
A) So what is Hazop? Well Hazop refers to a structured examination of a planned or existing process or operation.
This is important in order to identify and evaluate problems that may represent risks to personnel, equipment or prevent efficient operation.
In its purest form – or just plain old English – Hazop is the technique of looking under the hood of new or existing systems in order to improve the safety of that system.
