Inadequate storage, management and training for hazardous chemicals has been revealed as a top 10 supply chain concern facing businesses in China.
Global supply chain experts Sedex, in partnership with leading risk analytics experts Maplecroft, audited 19,328 businesses in China.
The survey, Sedex Responsible Sourcing Insights Briefing, found that 55.7% of all issues raised pertained to health, safety and hygiene concerns.
4% of respondents voiced concerns over “inadequate” storage facilities, labelling, training and containment, including spill kits for hazardous chemicals or lapses in their usage.
